When u would have a winratio of 3 in LoL or other games with a 'proper' mmr-system you would rank up sooo fast. Sorry but the system isnt good when it doesnt 'see' that i doesnt belong to this elo. The problem is that the way it displays your rank makes it seem like it's tossing random arbitrary numbers at you. Contrary to Kappa's comment, it's a really good system. Ranked Players losing a match with a teammate under Placement will not lose their rating. Players are placed in the appropriate League & Division after completing 6 Placement Matches (3 for Teams).

As of Patch 0.13.2.0 (), anyone starting in the Contender League have to complete Placement Matches.

Each League represents players of a certain skill area, and each League consists of varying numbers of divisions. Grades have been replaced by Leagues and Divisions.
